DO THESE THINGS TO DRIVE SAFER IN THE RAIN
You can’t control whether it rains or not. However, you can control how prepared you are for the inclement weather. At Thompson Cadillac, we want you to be cautious on the roads. Preparing your car and knowing how to react to wet roads can help you considerably.
The windshield wiper blades can dull over time. Be sure to replace them so that they can clear the rain from your windshield when it’s raining. Check your tire pressure, too, so that you can count on your tires to provide you with the needed traction on slick roads.
If you’re using cruise control when it starts to rain, turn it off. This will allow you to stay in greater control of your speed. Reduce your speed as the rain gets heavier. Allow more distance between you and the other cars so that you can stop when necessary.
